Challenge

Ultimately, Pure Fishing wanted to improve ordering usability and streamline sales and order management processes in order to support the business and their more than 15,000 retailers in 20 countries. Pure Fishing set out to provide sales teams with insights into inventory, a simplified order entry system, and integration with downstream systems to automate order fulfillment while also providing a platform that will enable a 360 degree view of their customer.

Solution

Coastal Cloud replaced Pure Fishing’s legacy system with Salesforce B2B Commerce for US and Canada based customers. This provided a highly efficient user experience for this region, with plans to expand the solution to Asian and European clients. Mulesoft was introduced to streamline integration in order to form a cohesive, unified system involving tax information, freight calculations, price data and more

Results

As a result, the customers of Pure Fishing now enjoy a more user-friendly ordering experience entirely online via Salesforce B2B Commerce. Salesforce’s unified platform allows a massive amount of data to come together into a single, 360 degree view - no matter the size of the client. Sales Reps' ordering plaform is now seperate from that of the customers' which shows leadership segmented and more specific data. Coastal Cloud launched a fully functioning North American site in 4 months and continues to receive feedback from Pure Fishing to iterate new versions of the solution in order to maximize its success based on Pure Fishing’s needs. 

 

The Introduction Moment
The Pure Fishing relationship emerged from a Coastal Cloud employee's personal network. A previous employer was looking for a Salesforce Partner who could implement B2B Commerce and Mulesoft. The Coastal Cloud/ Pure Fishing relationship kicked off with a simple text message and has produced four more accounts for Coastal Cloud.

It was clear that Coastal Cloud had delivered a valuable solution to Pure Fishing when the Sales Reps had a separate ordering platform. This meant that partners had a simplified UI for ordering, right alongside the rest of their CRM data. Pure Fishing also got a fully functioning site after 4 months of work, and 3 fully working sites after nearly a year of work.
